Donovan Transport has proudly served the Irish and European haulage and transportation industry for over 50 years. Founded in 1958 by the late Denis (Dinny) Donovan, our family-owned business is built on a legacy of reliability, quality service, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Based in Tipperary, we are recognized as one of the region’s leading specialists in container haulage, tanker transport, temperature-controlled transport, hazardous goods handling, and more.

Under the leadership of Denis Donovan Jnr, who took over the company in 2000, Donovan Transport has grown from a modest fleet of two tractor units to a comprehensive fleet of over 35, including DAF and Scania and Renault models, supported by 90 trailers. With a focus on continual improvement, we recently expanded our fleet with new Van Hool trailers, semi trailers gensets, and skeletal trailers and BRC Global-certified, food-grade tankers for secure transportation of sensitive goods. Our services now cover a broad range of industries, providing solutions for agricultural, chemical, and refrigerated transport needs.

Every member of our staff is trained not only in efficient and safe transport but also in delivering superior customer service, ensuring each delivery meets the highest standards. Our in-house mechanic and garage facilities keep our fleet in prime condition, minimizing any potential delays and maximizing reliability.

Denis Donovan Jnr - Managing Director

As the son of our founder, Denis brings over 20 years of leadership and industry experience to Donovan Transport. Since taking over the family business in 2000, he has guided our growth and expanded our fleet and services while maintaining the company’s strong commitment to reliability, safety, and customer focus.

Geraldine Donovan – Office Manager

Geraldine plays a crucial role in keeping our operations running seamlessly. With a meticulous eye for detail and extensive organizational skills, she oversees day-to-day administration, ensuring that all logistics and paperwork are handled efficiently. Geraldine’s dedication and personal touch contribute to the family-oriented culture at Donovan Transport.

Paul Donovan – Operations Manager

Paul represents the next generation of Donovan leadership. As Operations Manager, he oversees our fleet, schedules, and driver assignments, ensuring every haul is completed on time and to the highest standard. Paul’s hands-on approach and deep understanding of transport logistics make him an invaluable asset to our team.

Our Drivers

Our drivers are the heart of Donovan Transport. Each member of our driving team is highly skilled, experienced, and trained to handle a wide variety of goods, including hazardous materials and temperature-sensitive cargo. Support Staff and Mechanics
