Container haulage specialist Donovan Transport t/a Denis Donovan Transport Ltd. has been providing a top-class service for its customers for over 50 years. Established in the 1960s by the late Denis (Dinny) Donovan,  Donovan Transport  is recognised as one of Co. Tipperary’s foremost haulage companies.

The family-run haulage company, which operates from Barronstown on the outskirts of Tipperary town, has experienced strong growth since Denis Donovan Jnr took over the running of the business following his father’s death in 2000. Assisted by his wife Geraldine, who fulfils the role of office manager, and his son Paul,  Denis has expanded the fleet from two tractor units to 25 including DAF and Scania and. The company now boasts 60 trailers, having recently taken delivery of a couple of new Dennison skeletal trailers. Food Grade, dye tested tankers, certified to BRC Global standards and a range of curtainsiders, complete the fleet.

Donovan Transport has established a tradition for quality, reliability, value-for-money and total dedication to customer service. Although the company specialises in container haulage, which accounts for about 75 % of its business, it also offers a general haulage service and holds an international haulage licence. Fully registered by the Department of Agriculture, Donovan Transport serve clients with transportation of milk, farm feeds stuff, butter, milk, cheese and hold ADR Certification for the carriage of dangerous goods.  

Donovan Transport employs twenty drivers, all of who are experienced, highly skilled and fully aware of the importance of customer service.  The company employs a full-time mechanic and our home base garage facilities ensure our fleet is kept in prime condition to minimise or indeed eliminate en-route breakdowns.
